How much do we charge per hour?
We charge $75 per hour on a domestic painting job with a minimum charge of 4 hours.
We have been told that we can get our house painted for between $30-$50 per hour, how come you are charging so much?
As the old saying goes you only get what you pay for.
This is so true; we find all of our clients are happy with what we charge them as we do not do any work until you have a written itemised quote.
In the $30.00-$50.00 scenario we have found that it can take them longer to do or they take short cuts. We itemise everything we do; we do not just say to you it will be $500.00 to paint this room.
We also tell you what paint we are going to use, how we are going to prepare, then the total cost of the area for example rather than giving a total price to paint, we give a breakdown of the ceiling, the wall’s, windows, doors and extra areas as needed, therefore it is all broken down for you.
You seem more expensive, so why should I hire you?
Apart from our good looks and superior painting skills, we really want you to be happy. We will turn up and get the job done efficiently, we will not ignore your calls, questions or texts, we will take our shoes off and clean up after ourselves, we will even let you hold up to 10% of the Cost for 7 days (depending on price) after practical completion, this lets you inspect the work and if you pick up any defects we will come back and rectify them.
What is defined as a defect?
We use the Australian Standard AS/NZS 2311:2017 Guide to the painting of buildings to asses our work.
Some Tips From Our Team
Book in Advance!
A busy Painter will probably be booked at least 2 or 3 jobs ahead. So, get organized and book in a good 4-6 weeks earlier. If you need it done tomorrow, still call you might get lucky.
Get your Interior painted in Winter, it may be cheaper!
A painters’ work life is often seasonal, all that booked in external work is tricky to complete in the cooler months. Save your Interior painting pennies till late Autumn and book in your interior painter.
